Sunday after church we gave the girls a little Valentine. They both got a pink elephant with some conversation hearts. Sunday evening we headed up to Woods Cross for a birthday party for our nephew Lance. We had pizza, salad, cake and ice cream. The best part was the girls got to play with their cousins. When I told Elizabeth it was time to leave, she kept shaking her head and saying "NO!"
Monday Katelynn and I went to Harold and Terrie Morgan's house. They are really good friends of my parents and the two couples used to double date before they got married. We were able to visit with one of their daughters and her kids. My sister Bonnie and her girls were able to come as well. Terrie fed us pizza and the girls were able to decorate Valentine cookies, then they did crafts. It was so much fun and so enjoyable to visit with someone that truly loves and knows my mother. Terrie was so good with Katelynn and treated her just like her own granddaughter. She did the same for Bonnie's girls. They really need that right now and I'm grateful there is someone so close to my mother that they can look on as a grandmother figure. The Morgan's feel like family and I'm so grateful we were able to reconnect.
Monday evening we tried to go see "The Princess and The Frog" at the dollar movie in Provo. Unfortunately they were sold out. Katelynn sobbed and sobbed. I promised her we would try again in the next week or so. Instead we took the girls to McDonald's for dinner and then rented a movie. It was a busy weekend, with several late nights, but we had a great time.
