Katelynn turned 6 years old on August 25, 2011. She had quite the birthday celebration! I was able to take treats into her class at school. The kids made a "Birthday Book" for her in which each classmate wrote what their wish for her was and drew a picture. They sang "Happy Birthday" to her and then tried to "blow" her down. It was so much fun!
That night she requested to eat at Brick Oven. Grandma Sanford, Grandpa Shaw and her cousin Jacob (he's here at BYU) came to dinner with us. She and Elizabeth each got a balloon doll. Katelyn chose Jasmine and Elizabeth chose Rapunzel. The balloon guy is very talented! She got the game Trouble, a Flynn Rider doll and a new glow-in-the- dark soccer ball. She was really excited!
On Saturday August 27th we had friend birthday party for her. They played pin the tail on the donkey, freeze tag, statues and just had a lot of fun being silly and playing. From her sister's Nicole and Amber and her nephew and niece, Katelynn got a Razor Scooter. She was in heaven and loves to ride it! It was a great birthday and she is already looking forward to her friend party next year.
