Disneyland 2009

We went to Disneyland with Amy's whole family. We drove down on Saturday June 13th and got back Sunday June 21st. We all had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. It was our first family vacation with Katelynn and Elizabeth and Amy and Wes' first vacation in 4 years! Disneyland was at full capacity the first few days we were there and we didn't get a lot done. The last two days were better and by that time the girls were adjusted to staying up late. Wes hobbled around the park since he had knee surgery the Monday before we left. I almost cancelled the trip because I was worried he wouldn't be able to make it. He was a trooper and made it through by icing his knee a lot and keeping up on his meds. We took it slower because of it, but it was all good.

Elizabeth loved the characters and Katelynn loved meeting Tinker Bell and Snow White. Elizabeth's favorite rides were Finding Nemo and It's a Small World. Katelynn also liked Finding Nemo and she really liked Dumbo. Her other favorites were the the show Turtle Talk with Crush, Toy Story Mania ride and the Buzz Lightyear ride.

The third day we were there the whole family got ear hats with our names on them. We got one for my mom and had our picture taken in front of the castle. We held my mom's hat up although you can't see it that well in the picture.

Wes and I took a day and went to the beach. Katelynn loved it and Elizabeth hated it. I got sunburned and Wes couldn't do much because of his knee. That night we went to Knott's Berry Farm for a chicken dinner. Elizabeth loved the rolls with jam.

The last day at Disneyland we were able to meet a lot of characters. Elizabeth love Winnie The Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger. Eeyore wanted to keep her and she would have stayed if we let her! We stayed til the park closed at midnight and then made our way back to the hotel. We took two days driving back because the girls had had it with traveling in the car. It was great vacation and we really enjoyed ourselves! We look forward to going back in 2-3 years. I was unable to fit all the pictures here so I made a slide show of our trip.
