Week after Christmas

The week after Christmas my sister and her family came down from Boise, ID. The cousins exchanged presents and we had a good time. The majority of the week was spent going through my mother's things. We split up a lot of things and what we didn't get through we stored at my sister Bonnie's house. We did this in preparation of my dad getting remarried. The hardest part was going through her clothes. My sister's and I hugged them to us, sobbing because they smelt like her. It was a very emotional time. We were able to keep some, but the majority had to be sent to Deseret Industries.
The cousins had a blast playing with each other the whole week. It helped us as sisters to have our children so occupied so we could do what we needed to.
A few days after New Years, Elizabeth found the crayons (I usually keep them up where she can't get to them). I walked in the kitchen to see a master artist at work on a masterpiece. The masterpiece however, was on my kitchen floor! I had to laugh and get the video camera out. She was so intent on her work and was so proud of herself, how could I be mad?!

That is too funny. She looks like her dad when he concentrates at his painting....I can't imagine the heart ache of going through your moms things. It is good you and your sisters are so close. Cousins are the best!!! It looks like your Dad is very happy and that is the most important. here is my e-mail to put me on your list. deborahpeake@comcast.net I hope all is well and the girls are gowing way too fast..
