Easter Weekend 2010

Easter this year started on Saturday for us. Between LDS General Conference Sessions we had Wes' entire family come to our house for our annual Sanford Easter Barbecue and Egg Hunt. It was a lot of fun despite that the weather started out rainy. By the time the egg hunt started the sun was shining and the kids had a blast hunting eggs, candy and toys in the yard.
That evening when Wes was at Priesthood, the girls and I dyed Easter Eggs. This was the first year I'd done this at my home. Every year before now has been at my mother and dad's house with my sister and her children. It was different but still fun for us. Elizabeth really enjoyed herself and her hands had as much dye on them as the eggs!
Easter morning dawned cold and snowy! I couldn't believe we had a winter wonderland on Easter. The girls were excited to see their baskets and had fun showing us what they got.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing, watching LDS General Conference and enjoying phone calls from my dad and my sisters. Later in the day I made my mother's homemade spaghetti and we ended the day with homemade strawberry shortcake. It was a fun weekend and it was more enjoyable because it was spent with family.
