Father's Day was really nice this year. The girls were so excited to "make" a gift for Daddy. I bought some unfinished wood frames and had them paint one each. Then I put their pictures in them so Wes could put them on his desk at work. He also got a shirt from us. I was also able to get a special gift for him. His sister Stephanie let me borrow a picture of their dad that I scanned and had framed for Wes. When he opened it up he started crying. I haven't seen him cry since his dad's funeral which was over 4 years ago. It was a special moment!
After church we grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob. We also had chicken won ton salad, watermelon and Lemon Pound Cake for dessert. My dad and step-mother came over as well as Wes' oldest daughter with her husband and our grand kids. It was an enjoyable day which I was able to spend with my father as well as the father of my children.
