Mother's Day 2009

For Mother's Day Wes and the girls gave me a Willow Tree Figurine that I'd wanted. It's entitled; Close to me...Apart or together always close to me. Katelynn scribbled all over my card and Wes traced the girls hands on it. It was so sweet and really meant a lot to me.
After church we went to my mother's grave where I met my sister Bonnie. We put flowers on my mother's grave and also some on my grandmother Wilkerson's grave. It was such a beautiful day and I really felt peace and love as I did something for my mother. I'm coming to accept that my mother is gone and that it was her appointed time to go. I'm grateful for this knowledge which Heavenly Father has given me.
Later we went to see my mother-in-law and the girls had a good time visiting with Grandma Sanford. In the evening Amber and Kenneth came to visit with their new baby girl, Kaizlee. It was an enjoyable Mother's Day despite not being with my mother. I'm grateful for my family who have given me such love and support and I was glad to spend the day with them.

Happy Mothers Day! And congrats on the the new granddaughter. Such a cute name and little baby girl. Speaking of cute, Elizabeth and Katelynn are pretty cute, too! They really are getting so big!

I thought of you and your sisters a lot yesterday. I knew your Mother's Day would not be the same without your mother. You were in my thoughts and prayers. Love, K

Jenny sent me your blog link (along with Bonnie's)! I was sorry to hear about Aunt Cindy's death. I was very sad when Eric told me, but was immediately overcome with joy in that she is reunited with her parents.
