July 4th

On July 4th we went to my dads for a barbecue. My sister Debbie and her family were down from Idaho. My cousin Jenny came along with my dad's sister, Karren and her husband Tom. We had a great time visiting and enjoying each other's company.

After the barbecue we went to see my mother's grave and her parents grave. They are right next to each other. Her headstone was put in right before we got back from Disneyland. I had bought two South Carolina State Flags to put on my mother's grave and on my grandparents grave. My sister's put American Flags and some Cardinal windmills on the graves. The younger kids kept picking clover and putting it on her headstone. We got a picture of all the grandchildren except my nephew Nicholas who wouldn't get out of the car.

Later that night Debbie's in-law's invited us over to watch fireworks. We enjoyed watching them and Katelynn loved putting her feet in the pool. We had a great 4th and are glad of all the new memories we made!

Amy,

I'm glad you guys had a great 4th. It is so nice that you are able to visit your mother's and our grandparent's graves so often. Thanks for doing that. I think of them often and find myself wishing I could visit their markers.
