Spring Flowers and Bee Stings

This past month has seen Spring emerging in our yard. Our Apricot tree was the first to bloom. My Daffodil and Hyacinth bulbs came up followed by my Bleeding Heart bushes in the front flower bed. Our Pear tree was the last to flower and is almost done. I love Daffodils because they remind me of the month I spent in England and Scotland with my parents. We went in March and Daffodils were Everywhere! The smell near my front porch is delicious with the Hyacinths blooming. I'm sad that it's ending and they are starting to die off.
A couple weeks ago I planted some Perennials in my back yard near the two remaining Rose Bushes. I planted Vincas, Creeping Phlox and some "Johnny Jump Ups". I'll be happy when the temps stop freezing at night so I can plant some annuals and our garden.
On Tuesday night Elizabeth and Katelynn were in the backyard with Wes. I heard Elizabeth start screaming and I thought she had really gotten hurt. My first thought was the lawn mower because Wes had been mowing the lawn. I ran outside and saw her standing under the Pear tree. When I got close enough I heard her saying; "Bee, Bee". I knew then she had been stung by a bee. I saw the stinger in her finger and quickly pulled it out. I took her inside where I ran cold water on the finger and followed it with Caladryl lotion. I asked her if she had tried to touch the bee and she shook her head yes. I told her not to touch bees cause they could give you owies. She went back outside after a few minutes and shook her finger saying; "No bees, No!" I had to laugh it was so cute. At least now we know she isn't allergic to bees!

Wow...your pear tree looks gorgeous. The bee sting story is cute. "No bees no..." That's funny.
