Wes had someone at work forward him an email with General Conference Packets. There were different ones for Nursery, Junior Primary, etc. We thought it would be a great idea to get the kids interested in General Conference and give us a chance to actually watch and listen to it. Katelynn took to hers right away and every session she had to have hers to color. Elizabeth lost interest during Saturday morning session after coloring one page. She started playing with the dad from the doll house and kept putting it in my face. I asked her if she could have the "dad" watch TV like her daddy was. Next thing I know, she has the TV from the doll house, chairs and the mom from the doll house all set up to watch TV. It was so cute!
I love Katelynn's picture of President Monson. I never knew he was so dark skinned! Wes and I have laughed and laughed at her creativity.
During sessions on Saturday I went outside to clean up my flower beds out front. I found this huge beetle of sorts. It was gross, but my girls loved it! I got a picture of it next to a tube of lip balm so you can see how big it was.
The weekend was nice and relaxing and we were able to listen to most of General Conference with the kids around. I look forward to April Conference and more packets!
