My Dad's Birthday
Wednesday October 20th was my dad's birthday. I invited him and Faye over for dinner. He requested Chicken, Cheese and Rice Casserole which my mother used to make a lot. She got the recipe from her mother and our family loves it. Instead of a cake I made him an Eggnog Pie. His mother (my Grandma Shaw) always made him one for his birthday. I made two pies so he could take one home. My girls were so excited to have Grandpa over and to eat pie with him. They were so starved for his company they had to sit on his lap while he ate dinner. It was so precious. And of course they both had to help him blow out the candles on his birthday pie. It was an enjoyable evening and I'm glad we were able to spend time with him on his birthday.

That is great for you to have him over for dinner every year for his birthday.
I am glad you were able to get a picture with him by yourself. I only got one with my girls because Sue came over and you know there was no chance after that!
