Halloween Happenings

The past week has been really busy at our house. Katelynn had a Halloween Parade and party at school on Wednesday October 27th. I was able to help out at her class party and her class has a lot of cute kids in it. Katelynn was so excited that I could help out and spend some one on one time with her. That night I had my niece Ashley spend the night. My girls love it when Ashley comes to stay! Elizabeth wanted to sleep with Ashley on the air mattress but I made her sleep in her bed. Ashley told me that in the middle of the night, Elizabeth came and crawled in bed with her. My girls just adore their cousin Ashley and I love it when she comes!

Tonight I thought we would carve our pumpkins. Katelynn watched for a little bit but she did not want to help. She told me that when she's a mom she is NOT cleaning the seeds out of the pumpkins! Elizabeth didn't care at all that I was carving pumpkins. I decided to sit them outside so they could each paint a pumpkin. That was a hit and they really enjoyed it.

About a month ago Elizabeth decided she was to old for naps. I had a hard time letting her give them up, but she goes to bed so much easier at night so I guess it's time. Last week I was doing Katelynn's reading with her before bed. Elizabeth wanted me to read a book to her. I told her I would when I was finished with Katelynn's reading. When I went in to read to her, I found her asleep with her book. She was waiting patiently and just couldn't hold out.
