Decorating the Christmas Trees

The night before Thanksgiving the girls and I decorated our Christmas tree. They both enjoyed it a lot. Elizabeth needed help putting the ornaments on, but had no problem taking them off! I love my traditional tree because the ornaments all carry such good memories for me. I've included pictures of some special ornaments on my tree. I have one my mother painted when she was taking a porcelain class. She made one for me and both my sisters. My first ornament was given to me by my grandmother Wilkerson when I was 8 years old. I still have the original box it came in. Another special ornament is a replica of the South Carolina State Capital. It was made from the original copper that used to be on the roof of the capital. My mother is from South Carolina, and I have many fond memories visiting my grandparents there.
Tonight the girls and I went up and decorated my dad's Christmas tree. Once again they had a great time, especially taking them off to play with them! It was fun and I enjoy all the new memories I am making with my children!

You can come do my tree now. I only put up a tiny tree but I haven't even done that this year. I have no where to store a tree during the off season plus I have a general lack of desire. That's bad huh?!
